Teesactive and Xn now in Berwick

Xn Leisure is pleased to announce a new installation of the market leading Xn Leisure Advantage Solution at the Swan Centre for Leisure, part of the Teesactive group of facilities.Tees Active and Northumberland County Council have created an exciting joint investment plan for the Swan Centre for Leisure @ Berwick upon Tweed. The major £850,000 investment scheme aims to upgrade the quality of the existing facilities as well as introducing new facilities to the Centre. This includes a new Activ8 Health and Fitness facility with state-of-the art Technogym equipment, improvements to the café, children’s facilities and reception.

Tees Active is one of the new breed of charitable leisure management organisations operating in the UK. Established as a non-profit-distributing company, it started operating on 1st May 2004.

 

It was set up with the intention of taking on the management of facilities provided by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and works very closely with the council as its main funding partner. However, as an independent organisation it is able to take on other projects with the aim of raising levels of physical activity in the community and providing an excellent management service.
