Xn Leisure’s 5k Fun Run exceeds fundraising target for its charity of the year
On Thursday 20th June, Xn Leisure employees donned trainers, t-shirts and colourful garb to take part in a 5k fun run, raising a whopping £505 so far for the Pituitary Foundation – the Jonas UK charity of the year. Donations have already exceeded the target, which was set at £450.
The run was organised by Xn Leisure’s Head of Support Bern Jackson. It saw participants of all abilities take to the streets of Milton Park, where Xn’s headquarters is based. The fastest runner, Joe, came in at an impressive 22 minutes 53 seconds. However, speed was not the aim of the game and partakers walked, jogged and ran to complete the route.

Xn Leisure's team, Anna, Jo, Ryan, Sam, Dan, Joe, Mark and Chrissy, went the extra mile to complete the run.
Bern was delighted by the effort put in by all. He said:
“The Pituitary Foundation is a fantastic charity that does works hard to help those suffering with pituitary disorders. The fun run was an opportunity for the Xn Leisure team to have a good time, whilst raising money for a brilliant cause. Everyone did a great job getting sponsors for the run and equally making it around the route. Thankfully the sun came out, which brightened the day even more.”
The Pituitary Foundation is a national support and information organisation for pituitary patients, their families, friends and carers. It was picked as charity of the year out of several candidates.
So far, Xn Leisure has managed to raised donations at its National User Conference, which took place in June, and through the fundraising activities of its employees. The fun run donations have been added to the overall tally for the Pituitary Foundation, which currently sits at £925.
