  • Are training manuals supplied as part of the project?

    Yes, and best of all, they are FREE and included as part of your Xn solution. During the project implementation and roll-out phase we will provide all the necessary manuals for your installed modules. We are conscious of the environment and ordinarily provide these to you in electronic format, although printed versions are available for a small fee.  Manuals are maintained and also available through our customer extranet via a secure login.

  • What are the benefits of implementing the Xn Leisure self-service solution?

    Customer service is key to every organisation and we have worked closely with the industry to deliver award-winning self-service solutions to our customers. From booking or joining via the web, the processes are configurable and easy to use, allowing your customers to self-serve and navigate into your facility with ease via kiosk and access control.   • How can I influence the product road map?

    As mentioned above, influence is made primarily through the user groups. As our products are designed to work from a single code base for all situations, we have three facets to the way we develop our solutions.

    First, as a commitment to our loyal users, in consultation through the user groups and web based ideas submission

    Second, as what we call ‘roadmap acceleration’ whereupon customers (who we refer to as partners) pay for the privilege to accelerate functionality within our roadmap.

    Third, by constant market evaluation and internal feature-scoping from our huge depth of industry experience in bringing new ideas to the market.

  • Do Xn have User Groups and can I join?

    Yes, over the last decade we have been running regional user groups driven by the users, for the users. These groups meet three times a year and the executive chairperson from each region is invited to meet with senior management and directors of Xn to discuss product development and industry challenges. These groups are free to join and exclusive for Xn users, to promote sharing of best practice with your peers and help guide future roadmap developments.

  • How do I learn about new product enhancements?

    Users can access detailed release notes via Xn extranet as well as learn about forthcoming new products during the User Group meetings. New releases are accompanied by the social media and newsletter announcements and we will soon complement these with user webinar sessions and product videos.

  • What support services do Xn offer after I have gone live?

    Ahead of go live you will be given access to our Support Hub which will allow you to log tickets directly with our Support Team. You will also be able to contact our Support Team by via the online support hub or by phone, so help is never too far away. A member of our Customer Relationship Team will also be in touch on a regular basis as part of our ‘Customer Satisfaction Programme’.

  • Xn Leisure – What’s in the name?

    An unusual name at first glance, we agree. The origins of Xn came from a mathematical expression of X to the power of n, meaning exponential value – and over the years, it has morphed into its current logo form.

  • How do I arrange a product demonstration?

  • What development technologies does Xn use?

    The majority of our solutions are developed using Microsoft technologies. Our product set has been developed using a mixture of Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, Active-Server-Pages (ASP) .NET and ASP .NET MVC (Model-View-Controller). We employ Microsoft SQL server for data storage.

  • Can Xn provide hosting?

    Xn can offer a cost effective fully hosted solution at our ISO 27001 & ISO 9001 accredited data centre.

  • Can I use my existing hardware?

    If your hardware is suitable and meets with our recommended specification, we will use your existing hardware to help keep the costs for hardware refreshes to a minimum. We do recommend best practise in planning to refresh your hardware every three years to take advantage of technology advancements.

  • What will be the timescales for implementing our solution?

    From point of order, we can usually schedule your kick-off meeting, with our skilled and highly-qualified Professional Services team, within a few weeks. The size of your estate and your specific solution will ultimately dictate the timeline for roll-out. Don’t worry, though, as we will be there by your side at every step of the process to ensure a smooth roll-out.

  • What project management methodology do you use?

    We have trained PRINCE2 practitioners and, wherever suitable, we deploy these methodologies in making sure both parties are kept updated through the use of formal project management techniques.

  • How are Xn Leisure solutions deployed and in what preferred infrastructure?

    Depending on the product set, our solutions are deployed via Windows Installer, IIS application import/web deploy or Microsoft ClickOnce deployment. Our solutions can be deployed on a number of infrastructures such as thick-client or thin-client via Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (Microsoft Terminal Services) or Citrix.   • Are technical requirements available for the software solutions?

  • Is training available for the software provided?

    Training is provided for the vast majority of our products and is delivered in a range of formats including on-site, individual remote sessions and webinars. Provision of training is discussed as part of a project roll out.
